Jimmy Slings started in 2020, and at the time, it was just me.
I was managing a whisky bar when one of my regular customers asked if I'd bartend a private party he was hosting at his home. I said yes, packed what I needed and went along. Honestly, I instantly felt at home in someone else's home.
That one party turned into another, then another. Word got around, the idea snowballed, and before I really knew it, Jimmy Slings had become something much bigger than just me pouring drinks at private parties. And that first customer? I still bartend his annual party to this day, and I always will. (Hey Glenn & Susan!)
That's probably the best way I can explain what Jimmy Slings is about. We're not just bartenders for hire. We become part of the party. Over the years I've watched regular clients become familiar faces, familiar faces become mates, and been lucky enough to be invited back year after year for birthdays, weddings and all the big moments in between.
Today, Jimmy Slings has grown into an incredible team, doing everything from backyard birthdays and yacht parties to weddings, corporate events and full-scale celebrations. We create bespoke cocktail menus, bring complete mobile bars, run cocktail classes, provide catering and entertainment, and can take care of the entire event from start to finish.
Somewhere along the way, my obsession with creating drinks went beyond the bar and into making them too. That eventually led to custom liqueurs, contract distilling and the creation of Greenbach.
A lot has changed since that first party in 2020, but the reason I love doing it hasn't.
Good drinks bring people together.
